Diamond Color

A diamond’s color and appearance can be affected by a number of things, therefore it can be difficult to spot the differences from one color grade to another. It’s important to compare diamonds side by side. The best diamonds have the least amount of yellow color. The exception to this rule is the diamond with exceptional yellow color, called Fancy. Most people favor diamonds in the Colorless to Near Colorless range.

  • Colorless: D, E, F
  • Near Colorless: G, H, I, J
  • Faint Yellow: K, L, M
  • Light Yellow: N, O, P, Q, R
  • Very Yellow: S-Z
